Solid brass normally means that the main product body is made from brass rather than another metal with a brass-colored finish.

When only a reference image and a few key dimensions are available, a manufacturer can first evaluate the structure and prepare a CAD or technical drawing. Critical dimensions and the mounting method should still be confirmed in the final drawing before production.

Why B2B Quotations Should Not Be Compared by Unit Price Alone
The quotation for a brass handle may be affected by:

Terms such as antique brass, brushed brass and satin brass are not universal color standards.

Acceptable color range
Gloss level
Brushing direction and texture

Photographs are useful for preliminary communication, but lighting, camera settings and screen calibration can alter the perceived color. Important projects should not approve the final finish from a phone photograph alone.
Why the Same Finish Can Look Different on Different Products
Flat faces, round bars, curves, knurled sections and deep grooves reflect light differently. Pull handles, knobs and T-bars processed to the same finish standard may therefore show different levels of brightness and contrast.
Polishing level, brushing direction, edge treatment, material variation and manual surface preparation can create additional visual differences.
When a furniture collection contains several hardware types, buyers should approve representative samples together. Approving one pull handle does not guarantee that every matching knob and T-bar will look identical under all lighting conditions.
A practical finish standard should define an acceptable range of color, texture and gloss rather than require products with different shapes to appear identical from every angle.
Choose Between a Protected Finish and a Living Finish
Brass without a clear protective coating reacts with air, moisture, hand contact and cleaning products. Its color gradually changes and develops a natural patina.
Some brands and designers intentionally choose this evolving appearance. Other projects require the hardware to remain closer to the approved original color and therefore specify a clear protective treatment.
Neither direction is universally better. The decision should reflect the expectations of the target market:
Is natural oxidation acceptable or desirable?
Should the initial color remain as stable as practical?
Will the product be used in a humid environment?
How frequently will it be touched and cleaned?
What long-term appearance changes are acceptable?
What maintenance information will be given to the end customer?
A protective coating can slow oxidation, but it may still be affected by friction, cleaning chemicals and the environment. No finish should be described as permanently unchanged under every condition.
Select the Manufacturing Route According to the Product
Brass cabinet handles can be produced through different manufacturing processes depending on their shape, construction, quantity, accuracy and cost target.
CNC Machining
CNC machining is suitable for designs with defined dimensions, machinable structures and a possibility of further revision.
Suitable products can often be sampled by CNC machining to evaluate proportions, mounting positions and construction before committing to dedicated tooling.
However, CNC machining is not automatically the best process for every handle. Complex curves, deep internal features, material utilization and machining time can affect feasibility and cost.
Forming, Forging and Casting
Some designs are better formed, forged or cast before secondary machining, trimming and polishing.
Casting does not automatically indicate poor quality, but dimensional variation, surface defects, internal issues and secondary machining areas must be controlled.

A Sample Should Be Evaluated for More Than Appearance
An attractive sample is not automatically ready for production.
The sample should be installed on the intended cabinet door or on a test panel made from the same material and thickness. Buyers should check:
